Startups and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are undoubtedly the sector most affected by the global economic slowdown due to COVID-19. Without the financial safety nets that larger corporations have to fall back on, already paper-thin margins have crippled many small businesses.
The SPARK foundation has 25 years of experience in supporting young people, especially women and refugees, to study, work, establish and grow businesses in fragile communities. In order to help their beneficiaries to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, they developed the COVID-19 Survival Guide. According to the title, the guide is specifically meant for refugee businesses, but we think it is relevant and inspiring for all SMEs, which is why we promote it here.
