Through our work with small and medium sized entrepreneurs (SMEs) we know how difficult it is for these companies to get financing. The amounts they need in order to grow their business typically range somewhere between EUR 20.000 and EUR 200.000.Too big for micro-finance and too small for most of the regular banks, let alone venture capital. That is why we are so happy that initiatives like PlusPlus exist.
PlusPlus provides loans to selected SMEs in developing countries that increase food production and that create new jobs. Double impact! In the Netherlands/Europe they have a growing fanbase of individuals who invest EUR 50 or more in a chosen project. It’s a loan, so once the amount is repaid, you can invest in another project.
